A vernacular landscape surrounds this winery set within the vineyards of the Carneros district. Visitors enter the tasting room courtyard through a poplar hedgerow that provides a vegetative scrim for the larger production building beyond. Building and landscape design are woven together to create an inviting indoor/outdoor wine tasting experience. A fountain is a sparkling entry focus while linear fire pits warm and enliven the outdoor seating areas. Corten steel pickets form a transparent edge to the court, allowing the landscape of perennial grasses and lavender to continue visually into the private garden areas beyond.
